RESORT OVERVIEW
WHY WE LIKE IT
A 55 minute speedboat transfer brings you to the island of Meerufenfushi and its sole occupant, Meeru Island Resort; a lovely, well-established, South African favourite.
Barefoot is the only way to go on this laid-back island and the chilled atmosphere makes for the ultimate relaxing holiday that caters for all tastes. But don’t think that there’s nothing going on, there’s an excellent house reef, beautiful lagoon and the most perfect stretches of beach; a golf driving range, putting green and 9 hole pitch and putt course, Euro Divers Scuba Centre and great evening entertainment. Stay on the beach or over-water with Jacuzzi options for both, and eat and drink at one of 4 restaurants – 2 a la carte – and 7 bars. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and most public areas.

Best time to travel to Maldives
The Maldives enjoy warm tropical temperatures year round, and a great deal of sunshine. Temperatures vary very little, but the best time to travel to the Maldives is between December and April as these are the driest months with the most hours of sunshine per day.
In the warm tropical Indian Ocean lies an archipelago of 1190 islands and 26 atolls, surrounded by clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches -The Maldives islands. Imagine paradise with magical sunsets, an abundance of marine life and perfect natural vegetation. The amazing coral reefs’ surrounding the islands ensures a haven for dive and snorkel enthusiasts. Each resort in the Maldives has its own white beach flowing around the island. These islands are surrounded by coral reefs resulting in a clear calm lagoon between the beach and the deeper waters. Maldives accommodation varies from single to semi-attached bungalows, either facing the sea and beachfront or built over the water. The only inhabitants on each island apart from the tourists, is the resort staff.
Activities in the Maldives varies from diving or snorkeling to island hopping, seaplane excursions, swimming, visiting fishing villages or even doing some underwater sightseeing in a Whale Submarine.
