Intercontinental Balaclava Fort: The Intercontinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort is located on one of the most pristine stretches of beach overlooking the Bay of Balaclava. Offering 210 well-appointed rooms, the resort is just a few metres from Baie aux Tortues, which 17th-century sailors named after the many tortoises in the area. The Intercontinental Hotel is located about 15 minutes drive from Grand Baie.
