RESORT OVERVIEW

RESORT HIGHLIGHTS

  • List resort highlights here.

Just a short 30-minute seaplane ride away from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, Cocoon Maldives is the actualization of a dream to create a unique “designer” resort that mixes luxury, design aesthetics, and hospitality in one exceptionally beautiful tropical island fashioned from the ground up to provide guests with the ultimate holiday experience aimed to refresh, revitalize and reawaken your very soul.

Located on the pristinely stunning island of Ookolhufinolhu in Lhaviyani Atoll of the Maldives, the first glimpse of Cocoon Maldives will take your breath away. Seemingly floating over the shimmering azure lagoon, the lush green vegetation and the crystal-white sandy beaches is ready to enfold you in its warm embrace and comfort you with every luxury imaginable as you embark on an once-in-a-lifetime journey to achieve nirvana.

On our island in Lhaviyani Atoll, we have assembled the best elements of hospitality into an elegant yet modern resort. Designed by renowned Italian firm LAGO, Cocoon’s understated interiors defer to the extraordinary beauty of the surrounding marine environment: large windows frame entrancing vistas of beach, lagoon and ocean, complemented by furniture hewn from 200-year-old Wildwood. This theme is continued across all areas for a truly seamless sensation. The resort features an expansive reception pavilion, three restaurants, two bars, a dive centre, a spa, a lounge, library, gym and kid’s club, in addition to 150 villas on the beach or poised on stilts in the lagoon.

Best time to travel to Maldives

The Maldives enjoy warm tropical temperatures year round, and a great deal of sunshine.  Temperatures vary very little, but the best time to travel to the Maldives is between December and April as these are the driest months with the most hours of sunshine per day.

In the warm tropical Indian Ocean lies an archipelago of 1190 islands and 26 atolls, surrounded by clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches -The Maldives islands.  Imagine paradise with magical sunsets, an abundance of marine life and perfect natural vegetation.  The amazing coral reefs’ surrounding the islands ensures a haven for dive and snorkel enthusiasts.  Each resort in the Maldives has its own white beach flowing around the island.  These islands are surrounded by coral reefs resulting in a clear calm lagoon between the beach and the deeper waters.  Maldives accommodation varies from single to semi-attached bungalows, either facing the sea and beachfront or built over the water.  The only inhabitants on each island apart from the tourists, is the resort staff.
Activities in the Maldives varies from diving or snorkeling to island hopping, seaplane excursions, swimming, visiting fishing villages or even doing some underwater sightseeing in a Whale Submarine.
